Vitrine

A museum-grade encyclopedia system, offered as a product.

Vitrine began as the XO Encyclopedia: a browsable archive of botanical ingredients with plates, a molecular viewer, native-range maps, harvest calendars, a glossary that explains itself on hover, and two moods, Nocturne and Silver Day. Extreme negative space, archival colour, interactions that feel inevitable.

It turned out to be a general instrument. Any collection with objects, places and relationships between them can live in it: a herbarium, a type library, a catalogue raisonné, a product line with a story. So the engine is being separated from the content and offered as Vitrine, a licensable template with its own schema.

The base ships complete. Studio Extensions add the things you did not know you wanted: the molecular and map views, minimap variants, a loupe, filtering and search, password-protected collections, a print stylesheet.
